THIS IS ABOUT A EIGHT WEEK OLD PUPPY

Hi Jim!
Pup is doing great. He really doesn't cry at all...more like he sings himself to sleep with little
chirps, whines, grunts and so on. We noticed his mom did the same thing when she went to sleep in
her kennel. (Wade just can't stop telling everyone about Angel and how wonderful she was.) The
only protesting Pup does is when you don't give him a pillow while he puts himself to sleep. He is
very confident and strong minded, which I like!

Right from the start he vocalizes when he wants to go potty, and another voice when he wants to
eat. We've had no accidents and he is eating really well. He's up to about 2 cups of food mixed
with the goat milk per day. He is regiment about his schedule! Solid and clean stool as well, just
like you said. Vet visit scheduled for next week.

Grandma and Grandpa "babysat" him yesturday and they reported no problems either. Everyone loves
him (of course). He listens really well. Just like you said, he naturally walks in the heal
position and sits as soon as I stop walking. He comes when called and has already started to catch
on to the sit command. He does GREAT with the kids! Hardly any mouthing with them, and stops as
soon as he is told to stop, you just have to barely touch his snout. He's not too keen on the
kennel. He keeps banging his big feet when entering it, which is why I think he doesn't like it.
He is so well mannered I don't think it will be necessary to kennel, just a couple of baby gates
in a safe room when we leave. He plays very well with our border collie and enjoys teasing the
cat. He is already chasing the ball and carrying it around. It has stormed every day since we got
him and the thunder and lightening doesn't bother him one bit either. He got his first bath this
morning...he decided to fall down after taking a poop...you can guess where he landed. My neice
and nephews thought it was hilarious, until he started chasing them!

We found 2 more small ticks, both dead and both on his legs, not dug in or swelled, so I really
think he probably picked them up at the rest stops. Still no name yet! Well, he's got all kinds of
names but none have quite stuck yet. My dad calls him Panzer after the German Tank division,
because he barrels through anything in his way. He is winning everyone over. That's it for now.
I'll give you anoter update in a day or two.

Thanks again for letting us have such a wonderful little guy!
Deloris
